From Canon's Website

www.usa.canon.com

Canon has just announced a new addition to their Rebel line of DSLR cameras, the T2i. Taking some cues from its big brother the 7D, the T2i has a similar sensor but with 4channel readout instead of 8. You will also have some of the advanced features that are on the 7D such as,  9-point autofocus, a 63-zone dual-layering metering system like the 7D, a 3-inch live-view smudge-resistant viewfinder, ISO of 100- 6400, and 1080p video at 24, 25, or 30 frames per second with an external mic input.

IPad for the artist

A week and a half after Apple announced the IPad the arguments keep flying about how useless it is, and it’s lack of certain features. But interestingly enough, no chatter about the presentation of Brushes for the IPad at the Apple event.

After seeing the brushes application on the IPad I can’t help but think about how this may change digital artwork in the future. Being an amateur artist myself, I have looked into Wacom tablets for a more realistic approach to drawing on a computer. Unfortunately I never forked out the clams for one because the base models were over $100 and only gave you a 4 inch square to draw on. Also you are looking at the screen and and drawing blind, that didn’t appeal to me much. Now with Brushes on the IPad It looks like you are drawing on paper with a selection of brush types and no mess. This is a much more realistic approach to creating artwork on a computer, and you can bet this is something I will play with a lot when I get my IPad.

Just remember to check back here for a comprehensive review and pictures of the IPad in action.

iPad, Eater of Worlds

Everyone seems to have an opinion about the iPad. The one true device that will rain destruction and joy upon us all. If you could just know who is right!

In fact everyone is right.

When looking at what gear to buy consider mostly what you want to do. In then same way you consider what type of restaurant to go to for dinner. Once you choose the cuisine then chose the the environment to have it in. I’d like some Italian on the waterfront, or maybe a nice cappuccino by the park.

A nice audio book on the iTouch for the afternoon, then some classic movie on the iPad while I relax on the sofa. Maybe I’ll check my email on the netbook while listening to the latest TWIT on my Zune. There are only some people that want one gizmo to do it all.
In then end there is enough room for multiple devices just as there is room for ten kinds of pizza.
